Pomona Peer Resources Conference History Our Annual Peer Leadership Conference (held from 2001-2008) placed premier speakers in front of the largest assemblage of peer helpers in the state of California. Our Conference was thematic, our speakers were only one part of the day. Students chose from a large number of experiential workshops that directly involve all peer leaders in creating an experience they will never forget.
CONFERENCE 2011-Our 1st Annual Peer Resources Conference was held on Thursday, April 28th at Pomona College. The conference included 11 workshops facilitated by our community partners. Over 150 peer counselors attended the conference. This year, the peer counselors were fortunate to have 2 keynote speakers: Mr. Joe Brown, author and motivational speaker and Ms. Nicole Acosta, former Pomona student and presently a community activist. A special thanks to all presenters, the keynote speakers, Pomona College and Pomona Unified School District students and staff for a wonderful, informative conference.
