IT (Application Development) is continously updating and adding new content to Zangle via FrontOffice, TeacherConnect, ParentConnect, and StudentConnect and we'd like to keep you posted with the latests news and additions.

Are you ready for another great and successful 11/12 school year?? ((YES)) Tomorrow, August 23rd our students return to their schools from summer vacation.

We want to share with you a few key reminders to make your first week back to school a success:

 Scheduling :

  • Run the Unscheduled Period Report (in Scheduling) to identify any students with a missing class or period.
  • If you have a teacher that does not have access to TeacherConnect, please submit a 'Help Desk' ticket (help.pusd.org).
  • Leave students with complete schedules unchanged until new enrollees have been scheduled and students with holes in their schedules have been corrected. -Secondary sites
  • Run the Master Schedule report to verify that non-returning teachers are not assigned any classes much less have any students accidentally enrolled in their class(es). Please delete from your Master Schedule if you do find any.
    •  This also fixes teacher locations in RxNet.
  • Please remind teachers to send any students to the office who are not listed in their class roster.

Enrollment :

  • All students need to be enrolled and scheduled in a classroom.
    • If class sizes are full, do keep in mind that adjustments will be made within the first weeks

Attendance :

  • All absences due to vacation plans between 8/23 - 9/2 are excused. Please use the attendance code of 'P' to excuse these students.
  • For students who are expected to be present on August 23, 2011, but are not in attendance, contact parent/guardian to determine why the student is not in school.
  • Complete and review the Collection Status Report daily.

Personnel, Central Attendance and Pupil Services will be monitoring the status of student enrollment and attendance each day through Sept 8th. Their plan is to resolve staffing issues early to maximize instructional time for all our students. So timely and correct data that is very important in order for better decision making.
