Pomona Unified School District recently hosted its first Back to School Kick-off for all employees at Ganesha High School’s McCracken Stadium. Themed Fit for Learning, Fit for Life, the event set the tone for the year, encouraging a college-going culture for all students.

Damen Lopez from No Excuses University spoke on the importance of high educational expectations. Bob Seagren, Olympic gold medalist and PUSD alumnus, invited everyone to Pomona’s Holiday Half Marathon in December.

Employees relaxed, won raffle prizes, and enjoyed complimentary goody bags with healthy snacks. Special thanks go out to everyone who attended, as well as the staff, students, and parent volunteers who made this event such a great success!
