About Us


Mission

  1. Provide specific support to sites to increase student score on the SAT9/STAR to meet API targets and to provide all students with an opportunity to learn the California High School Exit Exam (CAHSEE) standards.
  2. Create curriculum documents (standards-based report cards, instructional planning guides, and curriculum guides) that support standards-based instruction and focus on increased student achievement.
  3. Provide teachers, students, and administrators with access to educational materials, curricular resources, appropriate policies, and student achievement to make appropriate decisions in the education of students.

Services

  1. Direct the efforts of the Research and Support Team
  2. Facilitate adoption process of standards-based textbooks
  3. Facilitate training, implement and monitor site/data standards committees
  4. Provide analysis of student achievement data to sites for use in informing instruction
  5. Implement the CAHSEE, curriculum guides, course descriptions, grading policy, promotion and retention policies, curriculum and instruction, and standards instruction
  6. Provide training to sites on data analysis, use of reserach-based strategies, and curriculum demands
  7. Assist in the areas of Cluster Work, Secondary Intermediate Intervetion/Underperforming Schools (II/USP), HPSG, and CSRD

Goals

  1. Oversee the implementation of secondary II/USP Action Plans
  2. Coordinate and guide administrative professional development activities aligned to the Instructional Progam rubric
  3. Coordinate and guide the implementation of High Priority School Grant (HPSG) and Comprehensive School Reform Demonstration (CSRD) programs
  4. Coordinate the work of cluster leadership in planning, implementating, and monitoring cluster work as it relates to the implementation of the Pomona Unified School District Theory of Action
