Dear Parent(s) and/or Guardian(s),
I want to take this opportunity to express my excitement about working with your student for the 2012-13 academic school year! I believe students can grow and develop by learning through the use of California state standards throughout this school year. One of our goals at Simons Middle School, is to provide each student with a quality education. Over the course of this year, we will offer classes and programs that will provide all of our students with an equitable and quality educational experience. I believe that all students can learn, but to ensure that they learn to the best of their ability, I need your help. SMS needs parents to partner with our school by supporting their student's attendance daily and by supporting their attendance at after school programs that are strictly intended to provide academic support to students. I believe that all students can learn given the appropriate amount of time and opportunity. I need parents to collaborate with us about the progress of their student. I welcome each and every request by parents to conference with teachers and to learn how together, we can help ensure that all students are successful. At Simons, we value to total educational experience. We offer sports, clubs and various activities to help students feel more connected to their school. In addition, we strive to provide students with the nurturing, support, and skills they need to become responsible adults. Again, I am excited about working with your student this year!
