Kindergarten registration packets are available in the school office. Registration check-off list:
o Birth Certificate or Baptismal Certificate Child must be 5 years old by October 1, 2013.
o Proof of Address (gas, light, water bill or rental agreement). If you live with someone else you will need to pick up a VERIFICATION OF RESIDENCY form from the office.
o Immunization record (yellow card) All shots must be current and signed by doctor: · Polio – 4 doses are required. Only 3 doses are required if last dose was given on or after the 4th birthday. · Diphtheria, Tetanus and Pertussis – 5 doses are required. Only 4 doses are required if last dose was given on or after the 4th birthday. · Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR) – 2 doses are required on or after 1st birthday, doses must be separated by at least 1 month. · Hepatitis B – 3 doses are required but can enroll if they have started the series and are up to date at time of enrollment. · Varicella – 1 dose is required or need doctor’s note of disease or has immunity

Accelerated Reader Accelerated Reader is a school wide reading program, which Philadelphia promotes all year long. Each trimester students are expected to met or exceed their trimester goal. Medals are given each trimester to celebrate their success. Please be sure to encourage your child to read every day! |
![]() How can I help my child succeed at school? Every child has the power to succeed in school and in life. When schoool, family, and community are involved in the education of our children, the children do better have better feelings about going to school. By showing interest in your child's education, parents can spark enthusiasm in them and lead them to the rewarding and is well worth the effort erequired. Here are a few ways parents can support their child's education at home;
Encourage your child to read - Helping your child become a reader is the single most important thing that you can do to help the child succeed in school and in life. Talk with your child - Talkin and listening play major roles in children's school success. It's through hearing parents and family members talk and through responding to that talk that you children begin to pick up the language skills they will need if they are to do well. Monitor Homework - Let your child know that you think education is important and so homework has to be done. Have a special, quiet place for your child to study. Set regular time for homework and remove distractions. Encourage your child to be responsible and to work independently - Establish rules, than make sure that you enforce the rules consistently. Make it clear to your child that he or she has to take reponsibility for what he or she does, both at hme and at school. Be informed - Parents can and should know what is going on in the classroom. Knowing what is expected allows you as the paerent to see for yourself if your child is achieving their full potential. Want more information on how you can help your child succeed? Anime a que su hijo Lea -ayudar a que su hijo sea un lector es una cosa muy importante que usted puede hacer para ayudar para que su hijo tenga éxito en la escuela y en la vida.
Hable con su hijo - Hablar y escuchar desempeña un papel importante en el éxito escolar de los niños. Es escuchando a los padres y miembros de la familia hablar, que sus niños comienzan a juntar las destrezas del lenguaje que necesitaran para sobresalir.
Anime a su hijo a ser responsable y trabajar independientemente- Establecer reglas y hacerlas cumplir consistentemente. Aclarar a su niño que el ó ella tiene que tomar responsabilidad por lo que el ó ella haga en la escuela y en casa. Este informado- Los padres pueden y deben saber que es lo que pasa en el salón conociendo que es lo que se espera le permite a usted ver como padre.
