Every new school year a new meal application must be submitted in order for students to participate or continue their participation in the free and reduced-price meal program. Eligibility is based on household size and income. The 2010-2011 Eligibility Guide will be posted in the near future.
Cada año escolar se debe de someter una aplicación de nuevo para participar o continuar participando en el programa de alimentos gratis o a precio reducido. La elegibilidad es basada en el número de personas en su hogar y los ingresos. El Guía de Elegibilidad 2010-2011 será anunciado en un futuro cercano.

Families who are receiving SNAP (formerly Food Stamps), CalWORKs, Kin-GAP, or FDPIR benefits may be automatically eligible for the program. Food & Nutrition Services will send a letter to these households indicating they have been automatically approved. However, if these households do not receive a letter of eligibility by August 9, 2010, they should then submit an application. Applications will also be mailed to all the homes of PUSD students during August. Applications can be returned in person or mailed to:

Las familias que reciben SNAP (anteriormente estampillas de comida), CalWORKs, Kin-GAP, o beneficios de FDPIR pueden ser automáticamente elegibles para el programa.
