PARENT RESPONSIBILITIES

Good discipline begins in the home.  Parents are the child's first teachers.  Through examples and direct teaching, parents instill in children habits of acceptable behavior and positive attitudes.

  • As the child's first teacher
  • Support and assist the school in the administration of recommended consequences.
  • Provide your child with counseling, guidance, and direct teaching of good habits and acceptable behavior.
  • Keep the line of communication between home and school open.
  • Be sure to leave phone numbers with the school where you can be reached immediately.
  • Contact the school (397-4608) should you have any important information to share.
  • Attend school functions such as: Back-to School Night, Parent conferences, and Open House.

VOUNTEERS

Due to state laws, all school volunteers must complete a volunteer application in the school office prior to working with students.  A tuberculosis test and fingerprints may be required of people who help on a regular schedule.  These applications must be renewed annually. Please stop by the school office and complete your volunteer form as soon as possible.

POLICE TRAFFIC ENFORCEMENT

Please be aware that periodically during the year Pomona  Police department may be video-taping traffic violators near our school.  When an officer later views the tape and identifies a traffic infraction, tickets will be mailed to the registered owner of the vehicle.  Please obey speed limits and parking rules for the safety of our children and to avoid receiving a ticket.
