The annual Red Ribbon Week celebration is held each year from October 23-31 to demonstrate a visible and unified commitment to alcohol, tobacco, and other drug and violence prevention.
-
It is an awareness campaign designed to motivate parents, teachers, and students and to learn more about the problems created by alcohol, tobacco, and other drug use in their own communities and to take action to reduce the number of lives damaged or destroyed by substance abuse.
-
Red Ribbon Week is also an excellent opportunity to celebrate and promote the positive drug prevention programs and activities that are working throughout the year in our schools and communities.
