The price of higher education increases every year; but what could be a better investment than investing in your future?  Fortunately, there are several ways to get help financing higher education.  From federal aid, tuition support, loans, grants and scholarships, making college affordable can be done!  Here is some information regarding the financial aid process as well as scholarship search tools.

Federal Aid:
To receive financial support from the federal government it is necessary to submit the FAFSA form.  This can be done on-line.  PUSD also offers the CASH FOR COLLEGE program- a raffle for a $1000 scholarship.  To enter, you must complete the FAFSA and submit your name to the Post Secondary Transition team in the department of Pupil Resources & School Climate. REMEMBER THERE IS A DEADLINE FOR SUBMITTING THE FAFSA!!  START EARLY!!

Cal Grants:
Cal Grants awards are state funded monetary grants given to students to help pay for college expenses.  The awards do not have to be paid back.  In order to apply the FAFSA must be submitted by March 2nd of each year.  Also, a student must file a verified grade point average with the California Student Aid Commission no later than March 2nd.  For more information:
