Counseling Services

The Safe Schools/Healthy Students program serves all students birth through 12th grade by implementing an integrated, comprehensive, and community-specific prevention and intervention project that will help to create safe and drug free schools and promote healthy development.  Key dimensions of the Safe Schools program include the Student Assistance Program, the Leadership and Resiliency Program, early intervention, curriculum, training for students, parents and staff, community services and youth development activities, and school-based mental health services.

Family Support Program

The Family Support program provides counseling and resources to families to prevent situations from arising that would put the families at risk or might cause removal of children from the home.  The goal is to prevent situations that might deprive families of a safe and nurturing environment.  Referrals to the program generally come from school staff members.  For details on this program see this brochure.

Family Preservation 

The Family Preservation program strengthens and preserves families who are at risk or already experiencing family problems, with the goal of ensuring the physical, emotional, social, educational, and cultural development of children in a safe nurturing environment.  Referrals generally come from the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services.
