Early Head Start Goal Provide free comprehensive educational and early intervention services to pregnant women and children ages 0-3 years old and their families to provide a supportive environment where these families can build a solid foundation for future learning.
Services Home Base: Early Head Start provides educational and early intervention services to pregnant women, infants, toddlers and their families. These services include education, health, mental health, social services, nutrition, parent involvement and assist with the transition process to preschool. Parents and children also attend socializations two times per month to provide educational opportunities for the infants and toddlers to socialize with other children. Trainings are also provided for parents on topics ranging from dental awareness, discipline, immunization importance, car seat safety, nutrition, health, stages of child development, and introduce them to the academic environment, skills, and state of the art classrooms that their children will soon be attending.
Center Base: Centers are located at Pomona High School and at the Village at Indian Hill. Early Head Start provides quality child care for infants and toddlers whose teen parent's are enrolled in the Cal SAFE program. The Cal SAFE programs are at Ganesha High, Garey High, Park West High, Pomona High, Village Academy High, and SEEO located at the Village at Indian Hill.
