District Educational Alternatives Some students perform better in alternative education environments. Students may be placed in the following alternative programs, based on a student's particular needs:
1. Continuation school - Can be voluntary or involuntary. It allows students to work in a smaller educational environment to accommodate their needs.

SEEO School Attendance Review Board (SARB) The School Attendance Review Board, with members from the District, the District Attorney's Office, Police, Probation, Department of Children & Family Services, and other community service agencies who are authorized by law to meet with truant students and parents who fail to send their children to school. If appropriate, recommendations will be made by the SARB for alternative placement, transfer, suspension, or expulsion. |
