What you can do in the Library:
Join the Online Mustang Book Club!
Join this popular web site where you can talk about books with your Mustang Friends and Teachers. It is easy and fun! To join just follow these instructions: From the Library page
Once you have logged in, you can add books to three shelves: Have Read, Now Reading, and Want to Read. You can also request friends and post comments about the books you have added to your shelves.
You can also see which books are the most popular books here at Marshall. Destiny Quest will tell you if the book is currently on the shelf or currently checked out. You can also view a list of books that have just been added to the Mustang Library collection.
Enjoy!
Printing & Photocopying
You can print your assignments, essays and other documents from the computer stations. When printing copies from the computers, please make sure that all pages are school related. Also available is a photocopier in the textbook storage room.
Using School Computers:
The school has provided 4 computers for student use. To use a school computer, sign up at the circulation desk and leave your student ID card. When you are finished, sign out and your ID card will be returned to you. Students must have an Internet Permission form signed by a parent or guardian on file in order to use the computer to access the internet. Use your student login in as username and password. Password is your date of birth in two digit form. If you do not know this information, I will gladly look it up for you. School computers cannot be used to access inappropriate web sites or to play games, as games can cause damage to the hard drives. In addition to the computers in the Library we also have a computer lab, which contains 36 network Laptops. The computer lab can be reserved by a classroom teacher who wishes to bring their entire class to work.
Checking Out Books from the Mustang Library:
To check out books and use the computers that belong the Mustang Library, all you need is your student identification card. You may check out two books at a time, and keep the books for two weeks. After two weeks, you may renew a book for an additional two weeks. Books may only be renewed once. You will receive a fine for any textbooks or library books that are returned with liquid damages, torn pages, damaged or scratched covers, or graffiti, drawings, or writing (other than your name on the inside front cover in the "Property of" section). You will receive a fine for any books you abandon in a classroom or on campus. Students may pay their fines in the Library.
Library Rules:
The Library environment is an atmosphere that is quiet, studious and academic. Therefore, any activities that interfere with the preservation of the atmosphere cannot be permitted. Student must respect the authority and behave respectfully towards any other student. Your good behavior creates a positive impression about you and about our school throughout the community. |
