We are committed to providing a rigorous academic program to continue to improve student achievement. Our API for 2011-2012 is 863.

Trimester 3 Awards Assembly changed to Wednesday, May 30th at 8:30 am.

We are very fortunate to have such caring and committed educators at Diamond Point. May 7-11 is Teacher Appreciation Week. This is a great time for students to thank their teachers for a great year!

May 22 is a staff development day and there is no school for students, May 28 is Memorial Day, school will be closed in observance, and May 30, 31, & June 1 are minimum days with dismissal time of 1:25 p.m. for students in grades 1-6.

Kindergarten Registration is now open for the 2012-13 school year. Applications can be picked up at the school office.

Has your child lost a jacket, sweater, or lunchpale? Please check our Lost & Found in the cafeteria for the end of school.

It has been and continues to be my priviledge to work with such a great community of students, teachers, parents, and staff.

Walk-Through California: May 15th from 5-7:30pm Everyone is invited to attend. We are very excited about this year's event. Students and parents will have the opportunity to learn about Father Serra, General Dominquez and Dame Shirley. There will be hands-on activities, food, and much more from the early California days. We look forward to seeing you on May 15th.

Spring Music Concert: Our talented instrumental music students led by Mr. Chang will perform on Friday, May 18th at 9:15a.m. and 10:20 a.m. Parents of music students are invited to attend any of these two performances.

PTA Sponsored Movie Night: On Monday, May 21st at 6:00pm, our amazing PTA will sponsor a family movie night where you will be able to enjoy a good meal and popcorn while enjoy a fun movie. Additional details will follow.

SSC Meetings: Since, we are currently working on our school plan, it may be necessary to meet twice on Thursday, May 17 & 24 @ 3:05 p.m. in the Library to review, revise and approve the school plan (SPSA).

Elementary English Language (ELA) K-6 Core Adoption for 2012-13 Teachers and parents have the ability to review publisher materials online from home, school, or District Tech Hub. A Celebration of Local Authors, June 16th, 2012, 1-3 p.m.: Meet Pomona Valley Authors Bob Smith, Bill Wallace and Janet Beech. Learn about their works and their connections to the Inland Valley. Take a trip back in Inland Valley history, read a fictional account of growing up in post World War II Pomona, and learn of fictional character Dulcie Clascock's charitable acts and hidden secrets. A book sale and signing will follow presentations. This event is sponsored by the Friends of the Pomona Public Library, is free and open to all. Call 620-2043 x2701 for more info.
