Fatherhood

Young Men's Circles

Supporting the needs of young fathers and young men.

The Fatherhood and Young Men's Circle is a regular support group held on three of our high school campuses [Garey, Pomona, Ganesha and Park West]. The group is designed to promote responsible behaviors and support the emotional, educational, occupational needs of young men who are young fathers. Young men who are not fathers and some peer counselors also participate. The fatherhood group welcomes adult mentors providing young men experience and expertise. The effort is a partnership program with identified peer partners and Peer Resources. Over one hundred young men are participating.

"Well the Young Men's Circle has helped me finish high school which I think I would not have done because of my struggles with my daughter and personal problems.  Since I've been focused I've decided to pursue my goals and to start college right after graduation."
