Pomona High staff welcome superintendent's Thursday with Thelma visit
| Thursday, December 20th, 2007 |
Superintendent Thelma Meléndez usually draws a pretty good crowd for her after-school "Thursday with Thelma" visits with school staffs. Teachers and other staff appreciate the chance to talk with her about their schools, what's working well, what needs fixing, and how they're doing implementing district initiatives designed to help transform PUSD. But Pomona High set the new attendance record with a turnout of more than 60! Yes, there were snacks. But as Superintendent Meléndez pointed out, every time she visits the school it's just always obvious that Pomona staff are dedicated to trying to be the best they can be for their students. |
