Ganesha's Boys Volleyball team takes first place in Hemet Boys Volleyball Tournament
Friday, April 6th, 2012

SchoolCenter PictureGanesha's Volleyball players recently traveled to Hemet High School for the Hemet Boys Volleyball Tournament, marking the team's first time in school history to win a championship while playing away. Even though the Giants left Ganesha at 6 a.m. they still had enough energy and focus to defeat Hemet in the Championship game in a competitive environment, with finals scores of 29-27, and 26-24. Before getting to the Championship game, the Giants had to defeat the number 6th ranked team in CIF Yucaipa High, which is exactly what they did even though they were down 9-5 in the third and final game.

The Giants finished the third and deciding game against Yucaipa on a 10-to-2 run, making them first-place winners for this year's tournament. Congratulations to the team, led by players Eduardo Arevalo, Bernie Alcay and Felipe Orozco, which has continued to dig, bump, set, and spike their way to victory!
