Recently, students from several PUSD high schools participated in History Day Los Angeles (HDLA) - a history day program that encourages students to prepare posters, exhibits, papers, web sites, performances, and documentary presentations on a historical theme. This year's competition, themed Revolution, Reaction, and Reform in History was participated by Fremont Academy, Pomona High and Ganesha High, both moving forward as finalists and competing at the state level in three categories! (Pomona students are pictured to the left).
Participation in History Day L.A. provides opportunities for students to improve academic achievement and develop important skills that prepare participants for college, and future careers. We are proud and congratulate those students who moved on to compete at the state level, as well all who participated in this year's competitions!
