Instructional Technology Mission Statement as Aligned to the District's Six Essentials

Participation in the global community demands that all educators and students be prepared to use technology well. The District will support instruction and enhance learning by helping teachers and students to integrate technology into the core curriculum in order to provide quality education and challenge students to reach their highest potential. The availability of quality online resources makes Instructional Technology and the delivery of electronic content materials to the classroom, the desktop, and the student a critical component of the instructional program for PUSD. The combination of high quality digital content, a robust network infrastructure, and    current desktop computing provides the foundational structure for the use of technology as a tool for accelerating student achievement and success. The use of digital content accelerates and supports the District's direct instruction initiative, as it can be explicit, organized, and predictable.

Pomona Unified School District is committed to a student-centered, technology-integrated classroom where technology-supported curriculum and assessment will make learning relevant while focused on both technology and content. Empowered students will be equipped with skills for successful school life, personal life, and work experiences.
