Congratulations to our students, teachers, staff, parents, and community!

 is located in north Diamond BaNeil Armstrongr. We have provided an outstanding educational experience for the children of the community since 1970.  Armstrong has a proud  history of both academic achievement and community support.

 We are currently accepting applications/enrollment for all grades Pre-K-6th! 

  Our Goal:  Every student, without excuse and without exception, will be proficient in reading, writing, and mathematics.

We are still selling yearbooks! Please stop by the office to order yours.  Sixth graders--you will be needing them to get your autographs! 

We have been fortunate enough to be allowed to pilot a math program for free.  If you have not yet signed on at home please stop by your child's classroom and discuss it with the teacher.  We hope that you can all take advantage of this great opportunity!

Friday is Spirit Day!  Wear your Armstrong shirts!

STAR/CAT 6 testing will take place from April 26th thru May 4th.

  Saturday school dates:  April 21st and May 5th!

    • Instrumental Music will perform in the cafeteria

    • 4th-6th graders will sing in the blackto
  • Carl's Jr. will be selling food
    • Don't forget to send in your pre-order
    • Students will sell popcorn and nachos
    • Student Council will sell baked goods
  • Raffles 
    • Disney basket with four Disneyland tickets
    • 50/50 Raffle
    • Lunch with the principal and two of your friends
    • 6th grade basket--reserved parking (inside) and 6 reserved seats for promotion

We still have a couple of PTA positions opened:  Please bring us your ideas and join so to find out how much PTA does for our students!  All are welcome!

Reminders:

Armstrong Enrichment Programs:   We are very fortunate to have many exciting and wonderful enrichment programs. 

  • Mad Science is in session.  They meet every Friday at 8:00 a.m. Stop by the office to inquire about their first meeting on Friday, April 20th.
  • Art with our parents began January 20th at 8:00 a.m. in room 17.  This is a free class offered to seriuos artists who want to develop their potential. You must turn in a permission slip to the office in order to participate.
  • Girl Scouts for K-3rd grade meets monthly at Armstrong.  Their next meeting will be help on May7, 2012 at 5:00 p.m. in the Multipurpose Room
  • Flag football with Mr. Smith will begin on Fridays. This will be offered free of charge and will be every other Friday.  You must turn in a permission slip to the office in order to participate.

Breakfast and Lunch:  Our breakfast program is very popular.  The cafeteria is serving approximately 90 breakfasts to students who are enjoying the benefits of starting the day with healthy options.  Please remember that breakfast if free of charge to all of our students.

Grolier Online:  PUSD has a suite of academic databases available for all students in the district. For those of you who enrolled through our library, the following passwords can be used to access Grolier from home.  Diamond Point:  diamondpointes or pomonausd.
