MUSIC & ARTS NIGHT OPEN HOUSE was Thursday, May 9th. Juan's Tacos was excellent, the band was great, and Ms. Grill's "High Strung" band was fun. The book fair was a success and the student work and art on display in the cafeteria was well done. Unfortunately, the strange weather and rainburst resulted in the cancelation of the second half of the music program, "American Songbook." Our students will perform it again Friday, May 17th, at 9:30 a.m. during the school day. You are invited to join us again if you can. Thank you for your support. Thank you PTO President, Serena Ashcroft for organizing this evening and thanks to our new music director and parent, Melissa Landis for her leadership with this program. Thank you to Andrew Chang for his teaching of the instrumental music program this year. You all are appreciated! May PTO Elections on May 16 @ 8:15 in the cafeteria. We will hold elections for next year's executive board. Come out and support Pantera! We need your help. ARBOR DAY was a success! Thank you for attending this annual event with the city of Diamond Bar. Congratulations to our poster contest winner, Catherine Wang. It is pictured below.
The Nancy McCracken LEARNING EXPO was Sunday, May 5 at the Fairplex featuring animals, a planetarium, music, dancers, student work, math and science exibits. 23 Pantera students attended and four sixth graders demonstrated academic uses of their iPad. |
